Introducing the Isle of Wight Health and Safety Group Promoting Health and Safety across the Island

The group has been established for over 30 years and is active in promoting all aspects of occupational health and safety to all Island businesses both large and small. Our members represent organisations and individuals throughout the Island. An Executive Committee, elected by the members, serve the group to ensure that all members’ needs are met with updates on current and future legislation and topics of interest. We are members of Safety Groups UK, the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce and are affiliated to RoSPA

How can we help you?

By joining the group, you can benefit from networking with other safety professionals and be able to draw on vast knowledge and experiences of our members and the members of Safety Groups UK, which we subscribe to and support. Many health and safety challenges that you may face have already been faced by our members and you can benefit from and draw on their experiences. Whether your organisation is large or small or you are an individual with responsibilities for health and safety, by attending our meetings we can offer you all the support and help you need.

Activities

Each year the group provides a season of topical presentations with expert speakers talking on a wide range of subjects. Our programme for 2009/2010 can be viewed here . We include a visit to an interesting location on the Island to broaden our knowledge of health and safety.
